Budget alerts
Budget alerts automatically notify you by email when a category crosses a threshold you define. Each user manages their own alerts independently.
Create an alert
- In Finance → Budget alerts, click New alert.
- Category: leave blank to monitor all expenses, or choose a specific category.
- Threshold (%): you are alerted when actuals reach this percentage of the forecast. For example, 80 % to be warned before overspending.
- Click Create alert.
Alert logic
- Expenses: alert if actuals ≥ X % of the budgeted amount for the category.
- Income: alert if receipts remain below X % of the forecast target.
Manage your alerts
- Enable / Disable: use the toggle on each alert. Re-enabling resets the counter.
- "Notified" indicator: an orange dot appears on alerts that have already fired.
- Delete: click the delete icon. Irreversible.
