Record a mass intention
Mass intentions are at the heart of parish life. Cathedra Manager lets you record them, link them to a mass, generate a tax receipt and track their celebration — all in a few clicks.
Step 1: Create an intention
- In the menu, click Intentions → New intention.
- Choose the type: For the deceased or For the living.
- Enter the name of the deceased or the free-form intention text.
- Enter the requester's name, phone and email.
- Select the mass at which the intention is to be celebrated.
- Enter the amount and payment method.
- Tick the GDPR Art. 9 consent box (required).
Step 2: Generate a receipt
- From the validated intention record, click View receipt.
- The receipt is produced as a PDF, ready to print or send by email.
- If the requester has an email address with consent, the receipt is sent automatically.
Once generated, the receipt is archived and cannot be modified (legal compliance). Any correction requires cancelling the intention and creating a new one.
Step 3: Confirm celebration
- Intentions whose mass has passed are automatically marked as Celebrated each night by the system.
- You can also do it manually: open the intention and change the celebration status.
- Generate the Mass sheet PDF from the intentions list for a printable summary.
