Enter a mass intention
A mass intention is a prayer request entrusted to a priest to be offered during a mass. Cathedra Manager lets you record them, link them to a mass and generate a receipt.
Step 1: Define the intention
- For the deceased — enter the first name (optional) and last name of the deceased (shown on the receipt as *† Marie Dupont*).
- For the living — write the intention freely (e.g. *For the recovery of Peter*).
Step 2: Identify the requester
- First name (optional), Last name (required), Phone and Email (optional).
- The email is used to automatically send the receipt on validation.
Step 3: Assign to a mass and enter payment
- Mass: select a planned mass from your schedule. The selector shows date, type, celebrant and number of intentions already assigned.
- You can leave this blank — the intention will be *unassigned* and can be assigned later.
- Amount and payment method (cash, cheque, transfer, card).
- Payment status: Paid or Pending.
- Internal notes (visible to the team only, not printed on the receipt).
Step 4: GDPR consent and save
- The GDPR Art. 9 consent box is mandatory (the intention reveals religious beliefs).
- Click Save. The intention is created with Draft status.
